Sometimes children are removed from their parent’s care. The Department of Communities and Justice intervene when they deem that children are at risk of abuse or neglect. If this happens to you or you are an interested family member, you will be involved in proceedings before the Children’s Court. Care and Protection proceedings are complicated and can be confusing. It is important that you obtain legal representation from a solicitor who practices regularly in the care jurisdiction.
